This September, the Rotary Club of Mississauga (RCOM) is proud to sponsor and participate in several fantastic local events. Whether you are looking to support affordable housing, honor loved ones, enjoy local art and music, or connect with Indigenous culture, there are plenty of ways to get involved and represent Rotary in our community.
1. Indwell Community Homes: Affordable Housing Social
- What: A casual fundraising social supporting affordable housing for marginalized people in Mississauga. Food and beverages will be provided (no charge for Rotarians).
- When: Thursday, September 24, 2026 | 5:30 PM – 8:00 PM
- Where: Unitarian Church, 84 South Service Road, Mississauga, ON
- Details: We need 5 Rotarians to attend! Contact Lorraine to RSVP.
2. Walk to Remember (Center for Grief and Healing)
- What: A 5K Walk-a-thon supporting Bereaved Families of Ontario. RCOM is sponsoring the Recharge Station!
- When: Saturday, September 19, 2026 | 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM
- Where: Lakeside Park, 2268 Lakeshore Rd W, Mississauga, ON
- Details: Members are welcome to walk at no charge.
3. Visual Arts Mississauga: Art in the Park
- What: RCOM funding supports live musicians at this 3,000+ attendee fundraising event for local arts programming.
- When: Saturday & Sunday, September 19–20, 2026 | 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM
- Where: Riverwood Park, 4170 Riverwood Park Lane, Mississauga, ON
4. Eagle Spirits of the Great Waters Events
- Where: Small Arms Inspection Building, 1352 Lakeshore Rd E., Mississauga, ON
- The Gathering and Healing Weekend: September 26–27, 2026 | Free, family-friendly event featuring traditional dance, drumming, Indigenous foods, artisan market, and cultural teachings.
- Indigenous Art Exhibition: September 23 – October 9, 2026 (Opening Reception on September 25) | Showcasing traditional and contemporary artwork.
