Rotary Clubs in Mississauga Walk to raise funds for the New Hospital Equipment.

The Hazel McCallion Walk for Health is a brand new 2 km and 5 km fundraising event hosted by Trillium Health Partners Foundation that took place on Sunday, June 5, 2022 at Port Credit Memorial Park. This was the first time since the beginning of the pandemic Trillium Health Partners Foundation (THPF) hosted an in–person signature event. It was a day filled with celebrations and family–friendly activities, all in the spirit of coming together with Trillium Health Partners (THP) to celebrate health care workers, who work tirelessly to provide quality health care to our community. The event will started with the walk and end with a family–friendly festival* featuring barbeque lunch, inflatable bouncers, balloon animals, colouring contests, music and more!

The Rotary Clubs of Mississauga worked together to fundraise for the hospital to help build Canada’s largest hospital, the future home of The Peter Gilgan Mississauga Hospital.  The Rotary Clubs raised over $16,000 that will be directed to be used for new equipment in the new hospital.

When the new hospital is built it will replace the existing 62–year old facility and is a critical part of THP’s plan to build a new kind of health care that serves a growing and diverse community. The Peter Gilgan Mississauga Hospital will offer over 950 beds, more surgical capacity and a much larger emergency department.
