Rotary Club of Mississauga is proud to support Embrave with a grant of $5000 to purchase 8 new beds for their Mississauga shelter.

Embrave has provided a broad range of supports to survivors of violence and contributed to thought leadership on how to eradicate gender-based violence for over 40 years. For decades, they have tirelessly fought to raise awareness of — and end — individualized and systemic violence in our community.

Embrave continues to support the Mississauga community in a big way.

This is what they did in the 2024-2025 year:

  • Supported 245 survivors of domestic violence and 99 of their children through their Community Support and Outreach Program
  • Safely provided shelter for 106 survivors and 99 of their children
  • Responded to 685 crisis calls
  • Held 566 group sessions in shelter
  • Developed 233 transition plans
  • Developed 233 survivor safety plans and 39 children safety plans

Embrave strives to ensure that no one is left behind.

Rotary is proud to be a supporter of this organization. For more information on the essential work Embrave does. www.embrave.ca
