The City of Mississauga celebrated it’s 50th Anniversary in 2024. As we reflect on Mississauga’s 50th anniversary, and celebrate the City’s incredible journey of transformation, growth, prosperity and community spirit we were excited to embark on this project with Visit Mississauga. In addition, to celebrating the City’s 50th anniversary in 2024, the Rotary Club of Mississauga also celebrated its 70th anniversary, a momentous occasion that exemplified Rotary Long-standing commitment to making this City a better place.
The Rotary Club of Mississauga undertook two initiatives to celebrate in 2024. The first was to host an event at the Living Arts Centre (Dinner & Concert). The dinner was titled “We Built This City” and paid tribute to the past 4 Mayors of the City of Mississauga, including Ron Searle, Martin Dobkin, Hazel McCallion, Bonnie Crombie, and the Current Mayor, Carolyn Parrish.
With the assistance of Visit Mississauga, the second initiative was to produce a “Your City Mississauga 50th Anniversary Magazine”. The Magazine was printed and distributed throughout the City of Mississauga.
