Rotary Club of Mississauga President Lucie Shaw and several RCoM members with their spouses put on the glitz and attended the MACsquerade Ball, the principal fundraising event of the year for the Mississauga Arts Council and support for this uniquely comprehensive, arts charity has been making an historic impact for nearly 40 years.

Proceeds from the elegant evening help deliver artist-focused development programs like MicroGrants, ArtsCare, which advocates for and funds arts for mental health programming.

Inspired by the grandeur of Versailles, the MACsquerade features live and silent auctions, captivating performances, dancing, gourmet food, an open bar, and the presentation of the 7th Annual Arts for Mental Health Award.

Unite for Good is the essence of Rotary. To grow and revitalize our club, we must see and be seen - actively engaging with our community and forging strong friendships & partnerships.

Below is an email received thanking Rotary for attending the MAC Gala.

Hi Lucie,

It is always so great to see you two out and about and for us in support of local artists and their works. With Rotary's help, your help, we are making a difference, and to hear the Minister talk in such glowing terms about what we're doing, was another step forward and thanks to people like you and Rotary we’re able to take those steps and make progress.

Check out the photos below, and I look forward to the next time we cross paths.
Best,
Mike Douglas
