RCOM HOLIDAY LUNCH - A tradition that has been going on for over 45 years.
“The annual Mississauga Rotary Club Holiday Lunch was held on December 20th at the Glen Erin Inn. 59 members, guests and partners attended the lunch.
Timothy Whitehead presided over the event and started the meeting with some interesting events from that date in history. A very nice three course turkey lunch was served by the Hotel and was enjoyed by everyone.
After lunch President Nagwa presented Past District Governor Kathi and Timothy with Paul Harris pins for their recent contributions to the Rotary International Foundation.
Timothy then invited one Rotarian from each table to introduce the guests and partners at their table. This was followed by Happy bucks.
The program was a Christmas trivia quiz that was introduced by PDG Kathi. Twelve reasonably difficult questions were given to each table who then had to collectively come up with the correct answer. Three tables finished with seven correct answers and one table managed to correctly answer eight and they were pronounced the winners. Each member of the winning table received a small box of chocolates from the famous Reid’s Confectionary in Cambridge.
A very good time was had by all.”
