RCOM is proud to have been a Venue Sponsor on September 27th at Mentor College for the 2nd Annual Special Olympics Mississauga Motionball Chapter fundraiser.

5 Rotary members volunteered selling raffle tickets to raise funds and bring awareness to the Special Olympics movement. Allowing people with and without intellectual disabilities to interact, build lifelong friendships, and ultimately create more inclusive communities.

The Motionball organizers were very grateful to Rotary for our “Service Above Self” approach to this important community initiative.

Thank You message from Motionball:

Dear Rotary Club of Mississauga,

On behalf of motionball Mississauga, I would like to extend our heartfelt thanks for your
generous support as a Sport Station Sponsor at this year’s Marathon of Sport Mississauga.
Your sponsorship, combined with the time and energy of your dedicated volunteers, played a
vital role in the success of this year’s event. From ensuring the raffle table ran smoothly to
creating a welcoming and inclusive environment for our participants, your contribution went far
beyond financial support — it truly enhanced the experience for everyone involved.
We are proud to share that this year’s Marathon of Sport Mississauga raised over $27,500, more
than doubling last year’s total. These funds will directly support Special Olympics athletes,
helping to provide them with year-round opportunities to train, compete, and connect with their
community.

The Rotary Club’s commitment to service and community building aligns perfectly with
motionball’s mission of fostering inclusion and celebrating the abilities of individuals with
intellectual disabilities. We are so grateful for your partnership and for the hands-on support you
brought to this year’s event.

Thank you once again for your generosity and dedication. We look forward to the opportunity to
work alongside the Rotary Club again in the future.

With appreciation,
Catherine Rinaldi and Alissa Alvarez
